"PuriCalc" Application Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy outlines the rules for collecting, processing, and using data in the PuriCalc mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application").
1. Types of Data Collected
The Application stores all data exclusively in your device's internal storage. This data includes:
- Meal Data: Products and recipes added to meals, their weight, and the calculated purine and uric acid values.
- Custom Databases: Recipes and products created and added by you.
- Uric Acid Measurement History: Your private records of blood uric acid level measurements.
- Historical Data (Summaries): Archived records of daily purine, uric acid, and water consumption.
- Medications: Names and dosages of medications you take, along with the time taken and an optional note.
- Settings: Personalized daily limits for purines, uric acid, and water.
2. How and Why Data is Used
Your data is saved only on your device and never sent to external servers. We do not have access to it. It is used solely to provide the Application's core functions, such as calculations, interface personalization, displaying history, and the content of your home screen widgets.
The Application lets you generate a PDF report and export your data (CSV/JSON/TXT) or a full backup. Files created this way are saved only to a location you choose yourself (e.g. via the system share sheet or a folder picker) – we do not have access to them.
3. Third-Party Services
- Ads (Google AdMob): The Application displays ads provided by Google AdMob. This service may collect anonymous data (e.g., your device's advertising ID) to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads. The Application does not share any of your data entered into the Application with AdMob. More information can be found in Google's advertising policy.
- Payments (Google Play Billing): We allow for optional purchases to support the application's development (the "Buy me a coffee" option) as well as an ad-removal purchase. The payment process is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not store any data related to your payments.
4. Consent for Third-Party Services (GDPR)
In accordance with GDPR and ePrivacy requirements, users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK are shown a consent form (Google UMP) when the Application is first launched. This form allows you to decide whether you agree to the use of your data (like the Advertising ID) for ad personalization purposes.
You have the right to change your consent decision at any time. You can do this by going to the Settings screen in the Application and selecting the "Privacy and ad options" option to display the consent form again.
5. Full Control Over Your Data
You have full control over your data. You can modify or permanently delete it at any time using the options available in the Application, including the "Clear entered data" button in Settings. You can also back up your data at any time and restore it later, including after switching phones.
